Camping du Lac de Carouge is a 3-star campsite in Saint-Pierre-d’Albigny, in the heart of the Combe de Savoie. Two adventure parks are within driving distance: Fort de Tamié, above Albertville, and Banzaï Aventure, near Allevard. With courses for toddlers, zip lines, and more thrilling challenges, there’s something for everyone, no matter their skill level.

15 obstacle courses and a 300-meter zip line within the grounds of a 19th-century military fort, perched at an elevation of 907 meters. Guided tours of the fort are available in the summer, and there’s mini-golf and a snack bar on site.

Prices and Hours at Fort de Tamié

No reservations are required at Fort de Tamié: just show up. In July and August, the park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the last tour departing at 5 p.m. Admission to the fort is free, and it’s free for children under 2.

Things to Know Before You Go

Continuous lifeline

It's impossible to accidentally unclip yourself: children as young as 3 can climb safely.

Except during the summer

From April through October, Fort de Tamié is open mainly in the afternoons, on Wednesdays, on weekends, and during school breaks.

Fill up

The road climbs up to the Tamié Pass: be sure to fill up your gas tank before you leave.

At what age can you start doing a treetop adventure?

Starting at age 3 at Fort de Tamié, thanks to the continuous safety line. At Banzaï Aventure, toddlers can climb the Ouistiti course when accompanied by a parent.

Not at Fort de Tamié: come directly to the site. Be sure to arrive before 5:00 p.m., the time of the last departure.

At Fort de Tamié, the treetop adventure is limited to 3 hours. Afterward, you can tour the fort, play mini-golf, or have a picnic on site.
