Daily departures

Camping du Lac de Carouge is a 3-star campsite in Saint-Pierre-d’Albigny, in the Combe de Savoie. A 50-minute drive away, the Haute-Isère River winds its way down the Tarentaise Valley from Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Centron: it is one of Europe’s premier whitewater destinations. Thanks to daily dam releases, the water level remains good throughout the season.

Three runs in Haute-Isère

Each descent is led by a state-certified guide, who adjusts the intensity to suit the group. Choose based on the children’s ages and how much of a thrill you’re looking for.

Frequently asked questions

At what age can you start rafting?

The Centron Gorge rafting trip is open to children ages 8 and up, provided they know how to swim. The Aime rapids and the full-length rafting trip are open to children ages 12 and up.

It takes about 50 minutes to reach the ski resorts in Aime and Centron via the expressway through Albertville.

We recommend doing this in July and August, as the rafting trips are very popular. Book directly with the rafting center, or ask for advice at the reception desk.
