Camping du Lac de Carouge is a 3-star campsite in Saint-Pierre-d’Albigny, in the heart of the Combe de Savoie. The lake’s fishing spots are a 2-minute walk from your pitch: just leave your car and grab your fishing rod.

Lac de Carouge: Two Lakes, Two Ways to Fish

Lac de Carouge is a former gravel pit covering 10 hectares, fed by the Isère aquifer. Classified as a Category2 lake, it is managed by the AAPPMA Les Pêcheurs Chambériens. Fishing is permitted on the eastern part of the large lake and on a small lake reserved exclusively for anglers.

Unobstructed Shores of the Great Lake of Carouge for Predator Fishing

The Big Lake

Up to 30 m deep · unobstructed shorelines.

Its largely open shorelines make it easy to fish for game fish from the shore. Pike are abundant here, and they are often spotted near the shoreline in the summer. Perch, which are plentiful and sometimes quite large, are most active in the evening, when the lake calms down. Chub are found near the outlet at the western tip.

The Little Lake

Shallow · for fishermen only

Shallow and rich in aquatic vegetation, it is reserved for fishing. It’s a great spot for bottom fishing: roach and tench, especially in April and May. There are also a few pike living there.
