Following the route of the V62/63 cycle routes, the Tour des Bauges is an invitation to stroll and get away from it all, which we recommend you cover in three or four days on its longest cycle route. Between Savoie and Haute-Savoie, from Aix-les-Bains to Annecy via Chambéry, Montmélian and Albertville, the cycle route winds its way through the foothills of the Bauges Regional Nature Park, a UNESCO Geopark, a paradise in the heart of the mountains ideal for cycling. Between lakes, countryside, vineyards and mountains in the background, the route is dotted all along with natural, cultural and oenogastronomic nuggets to discover at your leisure, taking your time.

The V62 cycle route, which passes close to the campsite, allows you to discover all the different types of bike you can try.

Great mountain passes for performance lovers.
Around the campsite, you’ll have the chance to climb some of the most legendary passes in the Tour de France or the Critérium du Dauphiné, such as the Col de la Croix de Fer or the Col du Galibier, but that’s not all: some of the more accessible passes offer magnificent scenery and great challenges, such as the Col du Frêne (just above the campsite) or the Col du Tamié, also just a stone’s throw away.
A physical activity that allows for contemplation.
However, cycling in Savoie doesn’t have to mean steep climbs and high performance. For those of you who just want to enjoy a pleasant moment with the family, Savoie and more particularly the Combe de Savoie offer some magnificent landscapes to savour while taking your time.
The Lac de Carouge campsite is located on the V62 cycle route linking Albertville to Montmélian and passing right behind our establishment. This cycle route allows you to reach the town of Annecy on one side and will soon allow you to reach Chambéry without having to climb very long hills.

You’re in the region to cycle, but also to camp, particularly to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Well, you’re in luck, because choosing accommodation in a very peaceful area also means taking advantage of the made-to-measure services offered by your hosts. That said, you can look forward to entertainment and services for young and old in a relaxing, peaceful setting. The campsites in Chambéry have been well thought out so that every holidaymaker can make the most of their stay.
There are plenty of activities to keep you busy during your stay. As well as a unique encounter with nature, you’ll also have access to the swimming pool with its waterslide and wooded area. There’s nothing better than camping in the region to experience unique sensations while putting your heart and soul into your passion. The Grandes Alpes route is a fabulous 720km itinerary that’s well worth a diversion to admire the sublime scenery. You can also hike around the great lakes, skirting Lac du Bourget and Lac d’Annecy before climbing several cols. Be warned, it’s going to be hard work!
Then it’s on to the Massif des Bauges, where a beautiful 100km loop circuit awaits you. As you cycle over the various passes in this region – Leschaux, Bellecombe-en-Bauges and La Motte-en-Bauges – you’ll enjoy the unique beauty of the landscape.
