Welcome to our campsite with a swimming pool in Savoie:
Camping du Lac de Carouge is taking another step forward to enhance your comfort. We are proud to present our new aquatic centre, nestled at the foot of the Alps. This 6 x 15-metre swimming pool has been designed to blend seamlessly into our unspoilt surroundings, just a stone’s throw from Lake Carouge, offering a refreshing retreat where every swim becomes a truly special experience in the heart of Savoie.
Drift in crystal-clear water whilst gazing at the Dent d’Arclusaz, the iconic peak that watches over the campsite: between the blue of the water, the green of the peaks and the azure of the Savoyard sky, the mountain is ever-present with every stroke.
A submerged beach – a treat for the little ones
Children’s safety and early learning are our top priorities. As soon as they enter the water, a shallow area welcomes the youngest children for their first water play. This shallow area allows little ones to get used to the water in complete confidence, whilst their parents watch over them with peace of mind. It’s the ideal place to share some quality family fun as soon as the first rays of sunshine appear.
A progressive pool for relaxation tailored to your needs
The design of our swimming pool has been carefully thought out to suit everyone’s needs. Thanks to the comfortable steps, you can access a gradually deepening pool ranging from 80 cm to 1.30 metres. Whether you want to swim a few lengths to tone up or simply relax without losing your footing, the layout of our family pool caters to all types of holidaymakers, from swimmers to those who prefer to laze about.
Benches and active contemplation
To enhance your sense of well-being, we have installed two submerged benches on either side of the pool. Sitting comfortably in water at the perfect temperature, you can chat, read or simply take in the alpine scenery — a level of comfort that few campsites in Savoie offer.

Around the pool, a lovely sunbathing area equipped with plenty of sun loungers awaits you for your moments of relaxation. After a hike in the Bauges Mountains or a cycle ride, make the most of this space dedicated to sunbathing and napping. The choice of natural materials and soft colours reflects the ‘nature and comfort’ ethos that defines our establishment, creating a soothing visual harmony.

To ensure you have a safe and enjoyable swimming experience, we enforce strict hygiene rules. As in any public venue, swimming shorts are not permitted (traditional swimwear is compulsory). Our teams carry out thorough daily maintenance of the water and surrounding areas, ensuring you can enjoy a clean, safe environment that protects everyone’s health.
Magical evenings and swimming under the stars
The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. In high season, the ‘Camping du Lac de Carouge’ keeps the magic alive with evening events. These take place on Monday evenings in July and August from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
Imagine swimming in sparkling water beneath a starry sky, with the silhouette of the Arclusaz standing out against the night. These moments of pure bliss – with the pool open from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm during the day and for special evening events – are sure to become your fondest holiday memories.

Yes, access to the swimming pool is free and reserved exclusively for campsite guests.

The swimming pool is open every day from 9.30 am to 7 pm, from 17 April to 5 September 2027.

The water is kept at a constant temperature of 27°C, ensuring a pleasant swim from the very first days of fine weather.
How deep is the pool?
The pool has a gradually increasing depth ranging from 0.80 m to 1.30 m, with a shallow area designed for younger children to enter the water safely.
Is the swimming pool supervised?
Swimming is unsupervised: it is the responsibility of parents or carers, as is customary at most campsites.
Are swimming shorts allowed?
No, in accordance with the regulations governing premises open to the public, only standard swimwear is permitted.
