Our campsite in Savoie is a real family campsite where young and old alike will never be bored. The campsite is part of the Saint Pierre d’Albigny leisure center in Savoie and is located between Chambéry and Albertville. The site borders Lake Carouge and the mountainous environment of the French Alps (the campsite is at the foot of Arclusaz and the Bauges massif) offers many possibilities for excursions. Superb hikes in the Bauges Regional Nature Park are also possible. We organize various activities for guests, but you can of course also go out on your own. Feel free to ask us for information during your stay, we will always be happy to answer your questions.
Children's play area
There is a small playground on the campsite with a swing, a slide, and spring toys. There is also a sports field with a volleyball net, basketball hoop, and mini soccer goals. Around the campsite, you will also find many other sports to enjoy (golf, tennis, etc.).
Lake Carouge
The campsite borders Lake Carouge, a small and relatively unknown lake in Savoie. Here, you won’t be overwhelmed by tourists, but you’ll be among the locals. There is a beautiful beach with lifeguards on duty during the season. A small swimming area for children is set up in front of the lifeguard station so that everyone can enjoy swimming in complete safety. The water is so crystal clear that you can see the little fish swimming around your feet (the lake has been awarded the “Blue Flag” label since 2018) and has a pleasant temperature of 16° to 20°C. The campsite beach is very flat, which is ideal for children.
You can, of course, fish in the lake. You can buy a permit in the village or online by clicking on this link. Lake Carouge offers a wide variety of fish for anglers.
Around Lake Carouge, you can enjoy a lovely walk along the banks. You can also rent pedal boats, small boats, or paddleboards on the lake to take a trip on the water.

Heated to a constant temperature of 26-27°C, it guarantees you a pleasant swim from morning to night, whatever the weather.

Cycle routes and cycling
There are many options for those of you who want to cycle in Savoie: whether it’s cycle routes such as the V62 connecting the main towns of Savoie and Haute-Savoie (Chambéry, Albertville, and Annecy), which is located right at the entrance to the campground, or the many passes in the surrounding area, such as the Col du Frêne or the legendary passes of the Tour de France, there is something for everyone around the Lac de Carouge campground in Savoie.
Canyoning
The most fun activity in our region is canyoning. You walk along the water in beautiful gorges, sliding, jumping and walking, abseiling down superb waterfalls, swimming, sliding and jumping. From May to September, the campsite organizes canyoning excursions under the supervision of an experienced instructor. This activity usually lasts half a day. Our guests always come back with memories to last a lifetime (even the less adventurous among them).
Via ferrata
Mountain hiking and climbing have long been popular in the Alps. However, via ferrata, which literally means “iron road,” is becoming increasingly popular. In this activity, you walk and climb along a pre-established and secured route. Remaining safely secured throughout the journey, the route includes various aids to facilitate the climb, such as iron ladders, stairs, and footbridges. A stimulating activity that takes you to the most beautiful places in our beautiful region. There are some magnificent routes in the vicinity of the campsite, so don’t hesitate to ask us for information and book your session with our guide Bastien.
Rafting
One of the most popular activities in the Alps is rafting, where you navigate the river on an inflatable raft. Rafting trips on the Isère are organized about 45 minutes away by car, near Aime. Providers offer experiences of varying lengths depending on your preferences and skill level. The routes are varied and include calm water areas, where you can marvel at the surrounding nature, as well as various rapids that are still very easy to access.
Whether you’re a beginner or looking for more of a challenge, there’s something for everyone on a longer route.
Tree climbing
There are several tree climbing parks in the area. This is an activity for the whole family, where you move through the trees on a secure course. The different parks offer routes of varying levels, ranging in height from 1 meter to 20 meters above the ground. You are always secured throughout the course.
Riding
There are some beautiful horse riding trails in the surrounding area. Whether your route takes you along the mountainside, through vineyards or through the forest, you are always guaranteed impressive views and magnificent scenery.
The nearest equestrian center is 6 km away, in the village of Cruet. Information about horse riding excursions (individual or supervised) is available at reception.
Paragliding
The beautiful nature of Savoie is perfect for paragliding. In the region, it is possible to familiarize yourself with this spectacular sport. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will fly through the air as freely as a bird. The prices of the tours depend on the starting altitude and the duration of the flight.
